Necry Talkie is a Japanese 5-piece band first formed in 2017 in Sakai, Osaka, Japan. The group consists of lead singer and guitarist Mossa, guitarist Asahi, bassist Fujita, drummer Kazuma Takei and keyboardist Ayaka Nakamura.
Discussing the process of creating “bloom”, lyricist and composer Asahi said:
The atmosphere of the original manga and the live-action film is surprisingly different. Compared to the fast-paced movie, the manga is more decadent, both have different vectors that deeply affect me. I wanted to incorporate as much as possible of what I got from all of them into this anime theme song, so the introspective lyrics are inspired by the original work, the distorted bass is inspired by movie band and cute synthesizer. The sound is inspired by the game-like effects featured in the movie. I’ve tried my best to make sure that people who witness the opening of this anime for the first time will think,’Cool!’I hope you enjoy Scott Pilgrim Takes Off as much as I do.
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off premiered on Netflix on November 17, 2023 with a total of eight episodes. The voice cast features many of the actors reprising their roles from the 2010 live-action adaptation, as well as new Japanese cast members.
