The San Francisco Giants aren't the first MLB team to announce an Anime Day this season. The Seattle Mariners held their first Anime Night earlier in the season on April 1, and then the Karenmi Marlins followed suit with their Anime Day on June 22. The Boston Red Sox also held a Luffy Giveaway bobblehead to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series.
A special Hololive Night event was held by the Los Angeles Dodgers on July 5, featuring popular Vtuber Gawr Gura, who even appeared on the scoreboard during the game. The event even ended the night with a wild drone show. Fans who attended the game also received exclusive Hololive Baseball Cards to celebrate the event.

The series has a total of 72 volumes and currently has a total of 250 million copies in circulation, making it the 6th most successful manga series of all time. VIZ Media acquired the English license in 2003 and has since published all volumes, including 3 separate box sets that complete the series.
The Naruto anime series began airing in 2002 with Studio Pierrot in charge of animation production. The series ran for a total of 220 episodes until it ended in February 2007. Naruto: Shippuden began a few weeks later, running for another 21 seasons (500 episodes) and ending in March 2017.
VIZ Media licensed the manga in English and describes the plot as follows:
Twelve years ago, the Village Hidden in the Leaves was attacked by a terrifying threat. A nine-tailed fox spirit claimed the lives of the village chief, the Hokage, and many others. Today, the village is at peace, and a troublemaker named Naruto is struggling to graduate from the Ninja Academy. His goal may be to become the next Hokage, but his true destiny is much more complicated. The adventure begins now!
