Still easily one of the most iconic anime and manga franchises in the world, Sailor Moon has unsurprisingly received a ton of merchandise, although much of it has been limited to domestic releases. Now, however, a brand new skincare collection has launched in the United States with a line of beauty and skincare products from The Crème Shop.
A Los Angeles-based beauty brand founded in 1988, whose products are inspired by Korean skincare and makeup (and often made directly in Korea), The Crème Shop bills itself as a store “committed to diversity, sustainability, and eco-friendly innovation.” Its new Sailor Moon line, seen below, includes two sheet masks and two lip balms, as well as under-eye patches, a concealer patch, and a headband, all featuring illustrations from the classic ’90s anime version of the popular magical girl manga.
Crème Shop's new Sailor Moon collection combines 90s nostalgia with modern beauty
All of the items in The Crème Shop's new Sailor Moon collection are advertised as vegan and cruelty-free—a trademark of the store—with the Luna and Artemis lip balms also claiming to be paraben- and sulfate-free. Ranging in price from $4 (Usagi and Luna sheet masks) to $12 (Luna headband), they're also very affordable; however, prospective buyers will need to act fast, as some items have already sold out. The Crème Shop ships domestically and internationally, with free shipping in the US on orders over $50.
This isn't the first time Crème Shop has collaborated with major Japanese IPs; previous lines include Doraemon and Sanrio's Hello Kitty and Friends, the latter of which includes not only headbands and lip balms but also cleansers, moisturizers, and serums, among others. Sailor Moon fans are now hoping that The Crème Shop will expand its new collection to include more products.
