The April issue of Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine revealed on Monday that Ruka Tōdō’s Jigoku Kura Yami Hana mo Naki (Hell Is Dark) with No Flowers), an adaptation of the light novel series of the same name by Yoru Michio, will ends in the magazine’s next issue on April 4.
Tōdō launched a manga adaptation in Young Ace in 2020. Kadokawa published the manga’s ninth compiled book volume on February 2.
Yen Press licensed Michio’s original light novel series and will release the first volume on August 20. Yen Press describes the story:
Seiji Tohno sometimes considers the people around him to be monsters. It was a curse that pushed him to a life of despair, living out of internet cafes with no place to call home… but that all changed one twilight evening when he happened to meet a special person. Huge mansion in Europe. There, Seiji meets a ravishingly beautiful young man wearing a kimono with a white peony pattern on the shoulders, who introduces himself as Shirashi Saijou. This mysterious young man seems to know more about Seiji than he does himself, and before he knows it, Seiji has agreed to become Shirashi’s assistant in exchange for room and board. However, he has no idea that this “proxy service”, as Shirashi puts it, is nothing more than outsourced death! Sending monster-possessed sinners to Hell will cause Seiji to face terrifying new creatures every day!
Kadokawa published the first volume of Michio’s novels in May 2018 and the sixth volume in June 2021.
