On Friday, Kadokawa announced nine additional cast members for the anime adaptation of Akira Amano’s “Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective” manga. The anime’s “first season” debuted on October 2 on AT-X, Tokyo MX and more.
Crunchyroll is currently streaming the series as “Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions.”

The director directing the anime is Shōta Ihata, known for works such as “Girlish Number” and “The Saint’s Magical Power is Omnipotent,” while Wataru Watari, who previously contributed to both drama light novel and anime adaptation of “Girlish Number,” is overseeing the series’ scripts.

Masakazu Ishikawa, who is famous for his work on “Squid Girl” and “The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent,” is handling the character design adaptation for animation. Music composition is in the talented hands of Yo Tsuji, who is known as “Miss Hokusai”. Additionally, Unison Square Garden performed the opening theme “Ikenai Stupid Logic” and rock band hockrockb performed the ending theme “Lipsync”.
Amano, the creative mind behind “Reborn!” and “elDLIVE”, launched the manga on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website and app in October 2020. The 12th volume of the manga was published by Shueisha on October 4.

“MANGA Plus” is the platform responsible for releasing digital manga in English. The story follows the unique partnership of Ron Kamonohashi, a private detective full of quirks, and Totomaru Ishiki, a well-intentioned but somewhat foolish police detective. Together, they set out to solve the most puzzling mysteries, presenting a thrilling detective story suitable for a new generation.
