That Time I Was Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 1 Review and Summary – Diablo is a Good Politician
The first episode of season 3 was as good and entertaining as I remembered Tensura being. Sometimes you need a program that helps you feel good about life and helps you forget the harsh reality. Thankfully, Tensura is just the show that makes you hope to be reincarnated into another world and live a fulfilling life as the strongest slime Rimuru.
This season starts right at the Demon Lords' Walpurgis party, where our beloved new demon lord Rimuru is enjoying a feast. He is now one of the Eight Star Demon Lords known as the Octagram, meaning he holds more power than ever before. When Rimuru returned to his country, he was greeted with enthusiasm and respect by the people as expected from his ardent supporters. But his development has only just begun.
Do you remember the mission that Rimuru assigned to Diablo while he was absent? Well, Diablo did a great job of keeping control of the negotiations with the Farmus Kingdom. The way he handled the entire situation demonstrated how effective and intelligent Diablo could be when handling foreign relations in a dominant manner. He is a master politician who quickly resolves any issue that could cause trouble for Rimuru.
During the peace negotiations, even Myulan sweated because Diablo was about to lose his mind over the Farmus Kingdom rather than acknowledge Rimuru's power.
This episode is very good and funny. The lighthearted banter and fun returned between Rimuru and his friends, and you enjoyed seeing it happen. The way Rimuru grows and gains a very trustworthy and loyal group of friends and subordinates is what makes you wish to be in his position. You really feel happy for him, but you also want to be like him, and this makes you search for the strongest slime.
Verdict
I've missed Tensura so much and I'm so happy that the show is finally back for a third season. Not once did you feel bored watching Rimuru or the other characters. Diablo also quickly became one of my favorite characters because at first I didn't think he was that capable, but here he really shows what he's capable of if he wants to. I just can't wait for the next episode.
