Review of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6: The sixth episode of the anime series premiered on August 31, 2023. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 (呪術廻戦 or Sorcery Fight) is the highly anticipated anime about this series finally coming to an end and fans can’t keep calm. Directed by Sunghoo Park, the show is animated by MAPPA Studio. With Sayaka Koiso and Tadashi Hiramatsu designing the characters, Yoshimasa Terui is the series’ sole composer. Tatsuya Kitani performed the opening theme song, Where Our Blue Is (青のすみか), while Soushi Sakiyama performed the ending theme, Light (燈).
The anime is slated to have two periods, the first five volumes adapting the manga’s Hidden Inventory section and another 18 upcoming episodes that will introduce the Shibuya part. Licensed by Crunchyroll, episodes will have English subtitles and a dubbed version will be released at a later date.

Based on the manga of the same name by Gege Akutami, the story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Mages to destroy a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, whom Yuji became the host. However, the new season will include many different aspects of the story that audiences are wondering. Each episode is 20-25 minutes long.

The infamous Shibuya is finally in full swing and fans are equally excited about it. However, while the season has some brutal moments that shocked everyone, the new episode introduces softer moments of the anime’s three main characters. Yuji, Nobara and Megumi live their simple high school lives and we get the chance to experience a small part of that.
In the latest episode, half contains humorous elements involving the three characters, which helps us understand their relationship. In just a short time, they became extremely close to each other. From exorcisms to spending leisure time together, they quickly built a relationship.
In addition, the episode brings back the two bad guys of the series who have been creating havoc in people’s lives, Mahito and Geto. Right from their introduction, an unexpected battle breaks out with another character, creating suspense and suspense around the plot. Furthermore, the episode ends on a cliffhanger, which creates even more anticipation for the upcoming episode.
It goes without saying that MAPPA Studio’s animation is still one of the best in the anime world. The group successfully performed each scene with intricate details that caught the audience’s attention. The voice actors also did a great job bringing the characters to life vividly. Every emotion can be expressed when giving characters unique personalities and markings. When someone dies suddenly, emotions are high, but the happy ending will make viewers feel conflicted.

The new episode serves as an introduction before delving into the Shibuya arc. Old characters have come up with new goals and aspirations that audiences can also relate to. From the Inventory arc, the new episode flows seamlessly into the new episode and leaves us looking forward to more. The plot has become more complicated and one needs to follow the plot closely to keep up with the story. Fans eagerly wait for the next episode to know what will happen next.
