Do you know? Nature puts a lot of effort into beauty. The more attractive an animal is, the more likely it is to continue its genetic line. Fish with bright colors and beautiful bird feathers? People who attract mates. Even plants use everything from color to pheromones to mimicry to ensure that their genetic lineage continues. Humans tend to believe that we are beyond basic instincts. However, when you see someone you find attractive in attractive or form-fitting clothes, your neurons fire. It’s the truth. If you see someone you find attractive wearing your clothes, it will trigger a surge of dopamine like never before, and for a good reason. Having your partner wear your clothes is a sign of affection and closeness. And in episode 35 of Rent a Girlfriend, we get that sweet dopamine release. Or at least Kazuya knows. Slated for release in Japan on February 16, volume 35 of Reiji Miyajima’s Rent a Girlfriend features the manga’s heroine, the adorable Chizuru Mizuhara, with her arms outstretched in her signature orange shirt by Kazuya.
First published in 2017, the manga has been serialized weekly in Shonen Magazine and has over 11 million copies in circulation as well as a successful television anime series. Boasting 3 seasons, all are animated by TMS Entertainment and stream on Crunchyroll. Hiring a girlfriend shows a rather unusual approach to love.
After his first failed romance, Kazuya turns to the world of compensatory dating and meets the perfect girlfriend. However, after reading reviews that reflected his own experience, he left a bad review. Because he believes that Chizuru is as fake as a dollar bill in North Korea. Understandably angry, she confronted him about this. But as their argument was going on, Kazuya discovered that his grandmother had collapsed. They rush to the hospital, where fate binds them into a fake relationship to appease their family members.
As anyone who has experienced an out-of-control lying situation can tell you. You end up going too deep too fast and before long, you can’t clean up, and because of various hiccups, you’re both stuck in your pretend game for a while. But the only thing that makes a lie untrue is that what is said does not reflect the reality of the situation. But what happens when the lie begins to mirror it?
