Does Neon Genesis Evangelion hold up?
Neon Genesis Evangelion is a classic of Japanese animation, but some of its controversial aspects have gotten worse over time.
“From Rebuild of Evangelion comes Shinji Ikari's Huggy Good Smile!” the description from Good Smile reads. “Huggy Good Smile is a new line of chibi figures. A magnet is attached to the back of the head, allowing it to be displayed in many different places! Collect them all for more Huggy fun!” Each figure is approximately 65mm (2.56in) tall. Good Smile Arts Shanghai is credited as the producer, while Inoshishi is listed as the sculptor.
Evangelion remains one of the most popular anime franchises in terms of merchandise releases
These magnet figures certainly aren't the only Evangelion merchandise fans can get their hands on. For example, Good Smile Company has restocked its popular Nendoroid line based on Rebuild of Evangelion and added Gendo Ikari to the list. Meanwhile, a series of sleeping Evangelion figures have also recently been released on AmiAmi, as well as a PVC figure of Rei in her classic white plug-in outfit from Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time from Sega's Luminasta line.
