Sunday’s Aniplex Online Fest 2023 livestream event revealed new visuals for Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid, the second of two films in the upcoming anime project of the Seishun light novel series Buta Yarō (Rascal Does Not Dream).

The film will open in Japan on December 1.
The next anime project adapts the eighth and ninth novels in the series: Rascal Doesn’t Dream of a Sister Venturing Out and Rascal Doesn’t Dream of a Kid Wearing a Backpack.
Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister ventured out in Japan on June 23. The film sold 118,108 tickets in the first three days and earned 175,648,924 yen (about US$1.28 million) in ratings. Wednesday during its opening weekend.
Kadokawa published the first novel in Hajime Kamoshida’s series, titled Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai (Seishun Buta Yarō wa Bunny Girl-senpai no Yume wo Minai), in April 2014. Yen Press is releasing a series of novels in English.
