Ranma 1/2 04
らんま1/2
Synopsis/Spoiler Summary
A boy named HIBIKI Ryouga intercepts a giant charging wild boar in a remote rural village, impressing the villagers. He was looking for Furinkan High School so the villagers pointed him to Tokyo. A week later, Ryouga finally arrived to challenge Ranma. Ranma and Akane had just arrived at school when they were attacked by Ryouga. Unfortunately, Ranma doesn't remember Ryouga at first. Finally, he recalls that Ryouga challenged him to a duel but he did not show up for three days.
Ryouga sends a new but old challenge letter. Some time later, Kasumi found the challenge letter. When asked, Ranma assumed that those must have been the times he scored the last sandwich or sandwich before Ryouga. Meanwhile, Ryouga got lost and had to leave his hometown. By the time he took the field to challenge Ranma, all of the bread and sandwich products Ranma bought for him had expired.
Ryouga attacks, eventually dropping his Japanese umbrella. He uses a bandana to try to disable Ranma's evasion ability. Some people tried to pick up the umbrella and discovered it weighed a ton. Even Akane couldn't lift it. So she gives Ranma a warning. The fight continued with Ranma eventually tearing off the bandana. Ryouga slashed at him with an umbrella, tearing his shirt. Ranma runs away so Ryouga follows, destroying the outdoor water fountains.
Ranma turns into a girl and continues to fight. Ryouga's recklessness puts Akane in danger, forcing Ranma to take her to safety. However, the two started arguing about it. Ryouga returned to attack, causing the female Ranma to kick his black bandana away. Akane slapped Ranma for his harsh words. However, Ryouga's bandana returns and cuts off her long hair.
Thinking/Evaluating
Netflix's trashy subtitles aside, we're in for another enjoyable episode
Lost forever
When Ranma 1/2 04 started in some remote village in Japan, my first thought was “Traditional music of Inuyasha Where does it mark the beginning of something bad? ” 😂 However, we still see how easily Ryouga gets lost as well as his great strength. There is no doubt in my mind that Ryouga is the basis for the wolf demon Kouga in Inuyasha.
That aside, while Ryouga's fight with both versions of Ranma was fun, I didn't find anything funny about him. Furthermore, since they had a big fight at school, I was thinking, “Was Kuno there the whole time?” In fact, he should have appeared thanks to this commotion. I understand that Kuno will interfere with Ryouga's introduction, but considering Kuno's situation, he will be there, if only to observe.
Anyway, the end of the episode did something very surprising at the time. Akane's long hair is cut off when Ranma blocks Ryouga's attack. It's a shame because Akane has very cute long hair. And while it was natural for her hair to be short for a while, I always lamented that it remained short until the end of the series.
Final thoughts and conclusion
Final, Ranma 1/2 04 was very happy. However, I will miss Akane with long hair because she is cuter that way.
