Review of episode 4 of Ranma ½ 2024: This episode is quite interesting and also has a lot of romance. Let's see how it goes.
Ranma ½ 2024 Episode 3 Summary
The episode begins with Tatewaki Senpai, completely infatuated with Ranma—but unaware of the fact that she and his “dream girl” are the same person. He even spent a considerable amount of money to buy pictures of Ranma and Akane's female forms from Nabiki. When asked if he was interested in both girls at the same time, Tatewaki unashamedly admitted that he admired each of them for their unique qualities.
However, his approach to romance doesn't exactly go smoothly, as he soon finds himself defeated. again when he challenged Ranma to a duel. Amidst these humorous moments, something is quietly unfolding—Ranma and Akane are growing closer to each other.
Their relationship is evident when they visit Doctor Tofu after Akane beats Ranma for teasing her a little too much. Akane's feelings for the doctor are obvious, although he remains blissfully unaware of her feelings. However, in an interesting twist, Doctor Tofu accidentally plays matchmaker, encouraging Ranma to see Akane's true kindness and good nature. This is successful and Ranma begins to appreciate Akane's caring side.
In the final scenes, we see Akane's silent pain when it becomes clear that Doctor Tofu is in love with her sister. Accepting this, she decided to keep her unrequited feelings to herself, not wanting to ruin anyone's happiness. Noticing her sadness, Ranma tries to cheer her up, albeit in his own clumsy way—which predictably backfires. However, it increasingly feels like these two are the perfect couple and it's only a matter of time before they truly fall in love.
Ranma ½ 2024 Episode 4 Review
This episode begins with the introduction of a brand new character who is also a mysterious martial artist. We see him defeating a giant wild boar in the countryside in search of the school Ranma attends. But it seemed he was outside the school zone and quite lost in the search. On the other hand, Ranma is living a very normal but eventful life at Akane's house. He often fights with his fiancée, but their friendship grows closer.
At school, Ranma finally faces the new boy, Hibiki, who has come to challenge him to a battle. Apparently he and Ranma used to go to the same school and always fought. Hibiki once challenged him, but it never worked because Hibiki has poor sense of direction and he tends to get lost.
Ranma waited for him for three days while Hibiki traveled all over Japan looking for Ranma. For this outrageous reason, Hibiki thinks Ranma always runs away from him.
Therefore, in this episode, he wanted to fight his opponent in the end, but he still did not clearly mention the reason behind his challenge. Their fight was intense and that also involved Akane, who at first was just an observer. Here, something very interesting happens because you can clearly see how much Ranma cares for Akane. Their relationship is on the right track where the situation fits the enemies-to-lovers scenario.
Verdict
I liked today's episode because it was entertaining, a bit romantic, and action-packed. The way this show blends all the formulas of a good show together is fascinating, and it makes you want to keep watching each episode. It's clear that we'll be seeing more and more new characters, and honestly, that's the best thing about this anime.
