Quintessential Quintuplets is making a big comeback this fall with a brand new anime line, this time featuring the beautiful Nakano sisters getting their own headphones and collectibles.
Japanese consumer electronics company Onkyo is now taking pre-orders for its line of wireless over-ear headphones based on the animated series The Quintessential Quintuplets. The “ANIMA AOW03” headphones are specifically designed after the Nakano sisters, with their unique motifs featured on the right. The five Nakano sisters, of course, include Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki. Original character illustrations will also adorn the packaging of these animated wireless headphones, which will ship both domestically and internationally.

What sets these wireless over-ear headphones apart is the anime voice cast that will serve as the built-in voice guides for the headphones based on their respective characters. Kana Hanazawa (Ichika), Ayana Taketatsu (Nina), Miku Ito (Miku), Ayane Sakura (Yotsuba), and Inori Minase (Itsuki) all reprise their roles for this new line of headphones. After tax, these anime headphones currently retail for 25,000 yen (~US$171) each. Pre-orders have been open since August 28, 2024, and will continue until October 1, 2024. Shipping is expected to begin on December 1, 2024. Sales are being conducted on Onkyo's official online store and at the official Onkyo-branded stores in Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan. However, items are also shipping internationally via the Buyee service.
In addition to the anime headphones, there will also be new collectibles based on Onkyo's collaboration with The Quintessential Quintuplets. Additional merchandise includes headphone stands, acrylic stands, headphone cases, clear folders, and character pins. All products will feature special illustrations of the Nakano sisters wearing their branded headphones. Previous anime merchandise has included a retro-styled fashion line-up, angel figurines, and anime figurines dressed in Chinese costumes.
New Quintessential Quintuplets Anime Coming This Fall
While the anime's storyline officially ends with the 2022 release of The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie, the Nakano sisters will return once again in a new original anime storyline. Following their wedding antics, a new TV anime special, The Quintessential Quintuplets*, will follow the “Honeymoon” period of Futaro Uesugi, Yotsuba, and the remaining Nakano sisters. The Quintessential Quintuplets* will be shown in theaters in Japan for three weeks, starting on September 20, 2024. Following its theatrical run, the new anime will air on TV.
The Quintessential Quintuplets anime television series, movies, and specials are available on a variety of streaming services, including Crunchyroll and Netflix. Quintessential Quintuplets – Memories of a Quintessential Summer and Quintessential Quintuplets – Five Memories Spent With You were recently released in English for the first time on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. These romantic visual novel games put players in the role of Futarou, allowing them to choose their dream Nakano sister.
