Since its introduction, the PS5 Pro has received a lot of controversy from users due to its somewhat unreasonable price compared to its changes.
Of course, there are still a large number of players who think that the launch of PS5 Pro is reasonable, especially in the context of GTA 6 being prepared to launch in the fall of next year. However, according to experts, PS5 Pro will hardly run smoothly a masterpiece like GTA 6.
According to information posted by IGN after the news site interviewed a technology expert, many people believe that the PS5 Pro will not be able to run GTA 6 at 60 frames per second.
The reason given is also very simple as GTA games always run complex simulations that make the CPU work at full capacity, that's why every game in the original GTA series was launched on a platform that aimed for 30FPS or lower.
Besides, the PS5 Pro uses the same CPU as the PS5 and it will be very difficult to hit 60FPS if the base PS5 version is aiming for 30FPS.
And it’s worth noting that this is a CPU, not a GPU, as the PS5 Pro has 67% more compute units and 28% faster memory than the regular PlayStation 5. That doesn’t have a noticeable impact on performance, though. It’s worth noting that while it’s unlikely to hit 60 frames per second, the PlayStation 5 Pro can offer a higher-quality, overall image when running at the same FPS as the base PlayStation 5.
This is largely due to the Pro's increased power, with the console promising improved Ray Tracing, upgraded AI, and higher performance than the PS5. So GTA 6 will look and run much better on the PS5 Pro, but it's unlikely to hit 60FPS.
