The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Were Once Archenemies Episode 7 Summary
In this episode, the connection between Mimori and Hibana is brought to light. The two were classmates and shared many memorable moments together. To Hibana, Mimori was a close companion, but from Mimori's perspective, Hibana was more of a playful tormentor—often teasing and playfully roughing her up. Despite the antics, it was all in good fun.
When Hibana accidentally meets Mimori and Mira, she playfully hints at the nature of their friendship, causing Mira to become humorously suspicious. However, the light-hearted mood changes when Mr. Bird appears, accusing Mimori of having an affair with a villain. Worse yet, he goes so far as to dismiss her from her duties. But the most surprising revelation is Mimori's sudden admission of feelings, something neither she nor Mira had ever considered. What others see as mere devotion to an enemy general is actually romantic, and this realization puts both of them in a difficult position.
Mira immediately became flustered, while Mimori blushed in embarrassment. But this was when Hibana stepped in and for the first time said something more meaningful than her usual crude remarks. She argued that it was unfair to expel Mimori because of her love, especially when their role was to protect love. Surprisingly, her words were heard and Mr. Bird decided not to object to Mimori's relationship.
One of the most surprising moments of this episode is seeing the true human forms of the strange creatures that assist the magical girls. They turn out to be surprisingly handsome, making us wonder why they usually hide in the form of cats and birds.
