What happened in episode 5 of Pokémon Horizons?

The preview for episode 6 of Pokémon Horizons saw Riko’s pendant and Roy’s Ancient Poké Ball react to each other again, but this time, the levers on the ball move and the ball opens, frees any Pokémon trapped inside it.
