When does Oshi no Ko Season 2 release?
Oshi no Ko Season 2 was confirmed after the season one finale in a teaser trailer. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any specific details about when the show will return, just that production has been given the green light.
Oshi no Ko season one was announced about 10 months before it aired in April 2023, but beyond that, we don’t have many clues about when B Komachi will return to our screens.
What will happen in Oshi no Ko Part 2?
Oshi no Ko Season 2 It may be a long time coming, but there are plenty of clues in the source material about what will happen next.
Oshi no Ko season one takes viewers through the events of the original manga’s first 40 chapters, nearly a third of the story, with the final episodes concluding the First Concert Arc.
We don’t imagine that season two of the anime will stray too far from the manga’s original story, given how dedicated the creators were to staying as close to the source material as possible for the first time.
When asked in an interview with Anitrendz whether the reason for extending the running time was to be faithful to the original, screenwriter Jin Tanaka replied:
“Yes, the more a story is cut out, the more it cannot be told. How much of an adaptation is up to the scriptwriter, and I’ve done my part to do that, but… the more time we have to work with, the more we’ll work on narratively. story. I’m very grateful for that.”
He went on to say:
“As a result, the plot becomes more interesting and we can include more and more scenes to give the story a more satisfying climax. We can also create more beautiful art. It’s easier to work when you have more time for the episode.”
With that in mind, we expect season two to include manga installments based on the stage adaptation of a popular manga, a variety show, and a big-budget film – along with an exciting ending about the hunt for Aqua’s father.
