The official Twitter account of the upcoming Japanese first live action drama adaptation is titled Pack your bags with adventure (Pocket ni Boken o Tsumekonde), based on the games Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green, revealed additional cast on September 14, 2023.
The newly announced cast includes:
Sho Kasamatsu as Kageaki Hiyama Tomoharu Hasegawa as Kazuchika Kogusuri Aya Hirano as Yoko Meguro Ryo Sekoguchi as Yuki Koide Towa Watanabe as Sora Karasawa Muga Tsukaji as Koichi Yadoya Rio Uchida as Midori Eriko Sato as Masako Toshiro Yanagiba as Okido
A new image was also revealed along with additional cast details.
It was previously revealed that the main role will be played by Nanase Nishino, a member of the popular idol group Nogizaka46. named Madoka Akagi.
The drama series will begin airing on October 19, 2023, on TV Tokyo’s “MokuDora 24” timeslot.
The plot follows Madoka Akagi, who pursues her dream of becoming a creator when she moves to Tokyo. Her life, which was shaped by playing Pokémon games with her siblings in childhood, took a new turn 20 years later when she received a Game Boy Pocket and started playing “Pocket Monsters Red.”
Pack Your Pockets With Adventure is a television series produced in collaboration between TV Tokyo and The Pokémon Company.
BABEL LABEL’s Shota Hatanaka will be in charge of planning, production, and script for the film.
