EQUAL Man one punchSaitama’s Saitama has continued to grow throughout the series, so the feats shown on the panel also serve to demonstrate his strength. A recently learned technique, Zero Punch, or “cause and effect reversal punch”, actually makes Saitama faster than another powerful manga/anime character, Dragon ball‘S Goku.
Chapter #169 of One-Punch Man reminds fans how powerful Saitama really is. This chapter begins in the midst of a battle with Garou on one of Jupiter’s moons. Saitama and Garou initially appear to be nearly equal thanks to Cosmic Garou’s increased strength when copying Saitama’s moves. However, this did not last long as Saitama’s exponential growth rate quickly eclipsed the rate at which Garou himself was able to progress. During the fight, Garou realized he had been used and manipulated by God, and decided to undo all the destruction he had caused, by teaching Saitama his ultimate technique, allowing Caped Baldy Travel back in time and reverse cause and effect.
Goku was unable to catch Saitama’s zero punch because it landed before it was thrown
Saitama is able to quickly grasp how to use this technique and after successfully aligning his own particles and antiparticles, he travels back in time. Saitama then attempts to knock Garou “over” with a Zero Punch: a punch that lands before it is launched. This ridiculous feat makes Saitama faster than any other shounen hero, including Goku. Now, in Dragon Ball Super, Goku is capable of some truly ridiculous speed moves thanks to his training with Beerus and Whis. These speed feats include things like blocking Hit’s Time Skip ability and of course, teleporting across the galaxy with his Instant Transmission ability. Goku is also known for his infamous feat of traveling through Snake Way at a speed calculated by fans to be 11,000 miles per hour, but even this controversial theory pales in comparison to Saitama.
Even though Dragon Ball’s strongest characters like Goku and Jiren have shown feats capable of “overcoming” time-based techniques, they still pale in comparison to Zero Punch. Goku’s fastest form at this time is his Ultra Instinct form, which relies on his body’s pre-instincts to dodge incoming threats and hostile techniques. However, logically, Saitama can overcome this defense by reversing the cause and effect of the Zero Punch. Since the punch hits the ground before it is launched, even Goku’s pre-reaction is too slow to dodge. Saitama is also theoretically much faster than Zero Punch, as it seems to cause him no stress or fatigue when using it, implying that this is not even his top speed.
Even though Goku may be one of manga’s most iconic powerhouses, Saitama has consistently surpassed him thanks to the fact that he’s essentially a comedy character, whose entire concept is based around stronger and faster than anyone and anything else, while Goku still has to. adheres to a form of “realism,” albeit stretched to extremes. Dragon ballGoku’s ridiculous feats make it likely that Goku will show off something even crazier in the future, but for now, One Punch Man’s Saitama Officially faster Goku thanks to Zero Punch.
