One Punch Man was created by ONE and originally published as a webcomic in 2009. A digital manga remake with illustrations by Yusuke Murata began serialization on Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump website in June 2012. Viz Media licensed the manga for an English remake and serialized it in Weekly Shonen Jump.
The first anime adaptation was produced by studio Madhouse and aired from October to December 2015. Studio JC Staff later took over season 2 and aired from April to July 2019. 3rd season was announced last August. Crunchyroll streams the anime in Europe and they describe the story:
Saitama initially became a hero just for fun. After three years of “special” training, he became so strong that he could knock out opponents with just one punch. Now, along with Genos, his loyal robot disciple, Saitama is ready to begin his official duties as a professional hero working with the Hero Association. However, the frequency of monster appearances is increasing and it seems more and more like the Great Prophet Madame Shibabawa's prediction of the Earth's doom is coming true. In the midst of this crisis, the “hero hunter” Garou appears.
