The sixth new hero image has been released for the upcoming third season of One-Punch Man, featuring the terrifying tornado (also known as Tatsumaki in Japanese). There is currently no word on when the third season will air.
Previous Hero images have recently been released for Saitama, King, Genos, Fubuki/Hellish Blizzard, and Silver Fang.

The production staff for the third season of One-Punch Man has several returning staff from the second season, such as Tomohiro Suzuki (returning) as the scriptwriter, Chikashi Kubota (returning), Shinjiro Kuroda (Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Season 2 Episodes 4 and 5 assistant prop designer), Ryosuke Shirakawa (Tsurune, Spy x Family Season 1, key animator of A Silent Voice) as character designer, and Makoto Miyazaki (returning) as composer. JCStaff is in charge of animation production after working on the second season.
The first season, directed by Shingo Nutme and produced by Madhouse, aired in 2015. The second season was released in 2019 and was directed by Chikara Sakurai at JCSTAFF. Crunchyroll streamed both series internationally outside of Japan.
The anime is based on the superhero action manga written by ONE and illustrated by Yusuke Murata. It was serialized in Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump from June 14, 2012, and has released 31 tankōbon volumes as of July 2024. The manga originally debuted as a self-published work in 2009 on the Japanese manga website Nitosha.
