Two of the largest franchise brands in the world, One piece and Pokémon, together creating some amazing new fan art that both fandoms are must-sees. For decades, Eiichiro Oda and Satoshi Tajiri's franchises have changed the world of entertainment. The explosive Pokémon Go video game series took the world by storm after its initial release in 2016, and One Piece continues to make history in multiple ways during its 25th anniversary, including taking over the Las Vegas Sphere and being included in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2023.
Although there has been no official crossover between One Piece and Pokémon, Fans were thrilled to learn that Oda was bringing this iconic video game series into the One Piece universe. Back in 2023, Oda revealed that “picture books” and “illustration comics” do exist in the One Piece universe. In a recent episode of his manga, Oda stated, according to Comicbook.com:
“Since there is no concept of speech bubbles, the story is told through text and dialogue within a panel, similar to manga. Some popular titles in the One Piece world include: “Sora, Warrior of the Sea,” “Fire Dog,” “Pokémon,” “Monkey Ball,” and “Marco-san.” – Eiichiro Oda
Oda has paid tribute to the legendary series many times throughout his career, leading fans to believe that it must have helped inspire his own series. However, both One Piece and Pokémon will go down in history as two of the greatest anime series of all time. Now, thanks to u/t00tsipie on Reddit, Fans may finally get the crossover they deserve..

The Straw Hats have found their perfect Pokémon.
Out of 1025 Pokémon, only 10 are worthy of the Straw Hat
Comments flooded into u/t00tsipie's inbox, praising their Pokémon choices for each member of the Straw Hat Pirates. Sure, assigning each member a different alter ego out of 1025 Pokémon isn't an easy task, but u/t00tsipie pulled it off brilliantly. From the literal translation of Monkey D. Luffy as Infernape to the clever combination of Toxtricity and Brook's skeletal design, it's clear that u/t00tsipie is a huge fan of One Piece and Pokémon.
With the Pokémon franchise being incorporated into Eiichiro Oda's own One Piece manga, fans have begun to wonder why there hasn't been a crossover between the two legendary series yet. However, as the two franchises continue to grow in popularity, a collaboration in the near future seems almost inevitable. Until then, though, fans of both sides can enjoy amazing fanart like u/t00tsipie's, where everyone loves One piece Characters meet the Pokémon creatures they know and love.
