Summary
One Piece’s length often puts viewers off, but its 1000+ episodes and chapters prove that it’s one of the best series out there. The long story allows for the development of a diverse and eccentric cast of characters, even supporting characters like Vivi’s Karoo duck. The Karoo’s unexpected heroism and loyalty prove that each character in One Piece has their own unique traits and motivations, thanks to the series’ long runtime.
A piece is known as one of the best manga and anime series ever, but its length seemed daunting and turned away many interested viewers. This is for a good reason, as many people simply cannot commit to a 25-year story, no matter how good it is, but One Piece’s length is also one of its best qualities. , and a supporting character proves it.
One Piece’s length is the main reason why people don’t like this series. Both the anime and manga have been running for over 20 years, and even when it was announced that the series was coming to an end, it was nowhere to be seen. In fact, One Piece’s 1000+ episodes and chapters are one of its strongest points, further proving why this series is one of the best.
One Piece is known for its large, diverse, and sometimes odd-looking cast of characters. The length of the story means there’s more than enough time to flesh out each character and expand on their stories and ambitions. While this is obvious for the main characters, such as Luffy and the Straw Hats, even a minor and seemingly insignificant character like Karoo, Vivi’s duck, is a good example. about this.
Karoo’s unexpected development proves One Piece’s best quality
One Piece chapter #182 and episode #112 show that even a duck can develop a personality.
Vivi, princess of Alabasta, has a pet duck named Karoo. This feathered companion has been by her side since birth, providing moments of relief and occasional help. However, it wasn’t until Karoo participated in the Alabasta Arc that his true value was revealed. Vivi gives him an important mission; to deliver a letter detailing the cause of the rebellion to her father, King Cobra, in the city of Alubarna. To everyone’s surprise, the Karoo completed the task with ease, delivering the letter quickly and efficiently. Fans were amazed by Karoo’s courage and loyalty but that wasn’t the last time he captivated people’s hearts.
Vivi and the Straw Hats rush to Alubarna to stop the million-strong rebel army by talking to Koza, their leader and Vivi’s childhood friend. Crocodile and his Baroque Works – the true masterminds behind the rebellion in Alabasta – were able to prevent this, and the rebels remained unstoppable. Vivi was standing in the way of the approaching army, many of them riding camels and horses. Just when it seemed like she would be trampled and killed, the Karoo shielded her. What makes this act even more heroic is how the Karoo saves Vivi from Mr. 2, who disguised himself as Usopp, despite being seriously injured.
Few fans expected Vivi’s comic book pet companion to play such an important role in the story, but this shows one of the unique aspects of One Piece. Any other series would simply lack the time to show the Karoo playing a hero and saving the world. However, Eichiro Oda, the creator One Piece has created this long-running series by portraying each character’s personality, story, and ambitions, making it extremely memorable. The film is famous not only for its main cast but also for its beautifully designed supporting characters, which shows off the film’s incredible length. A piece gives the series enough time to develop each character, giving them their own unique traits and motivations, even if they’re just a big duck.
