Warning: SPOILERS for Chapter #1084 of One PieceThe biggest and most mysterious villain of the whole series A piece saga, the secret king of the world immu (I’m in the Japanese original), returns with a shocking revelation that will literally make fans of Eiichiro Oda’s best-selling manga jump. Imu not only reveals their existence, but also drops the first clue to their true identities, which may be related to the Alabasta Kingdom.
In chapter #1084 of One Piece, Sabo, Luffy’s brother, reveals to his Revolutionary Army leaders, Dragon and Ivankov, what really happened during his infiltration of Mary Geoise at the time of the last Levely. While Sabo was searching for the keys to the slave collars inside Pangea Citadel, in the room of the Empty Throne, the Five Elders met King Cobra of the Alabasta Kingdom. Cobra asks about the fate of Queen Lily, founder of his dynasty and one of the 20 kings who created the World Government 800 years ago. Lily was the only one of the 20 who refused to stay at Mary Geoise and became a Celestial Dragon, wanting to return to her kingdom. However, according to Cobra, she never returned to Alabasta. At this point in the story of the king, Imu appears, revealing their existence which was supposed to be secret to everyone except the Five Elders.
Imu has a connection with Alabasta Kingdom
As most people in the world know, the nineteen founders of the World Government decided that to avoid the rise of a dictator, they would share power equally. To symbolize this, they created the Empty Throne and each placed a weapon around it, symbolizing their vow never to sit on it. However, chapter #906 of One Piece has revealed that there is one person who truly has the right to sit on the throne and that even the Five Elders must bow first: Imu. The character is still a complete mystery, his true appearance and gender are still hidden. However, the mention of Nefertari Lily is the first major clue to Imu’s true identity.
In chapter #1084, Imu appears after Cobra asks the Five Elders about “the meaning of D.”, one of the main mysteries of the One Piece world. He then mentions a letter left by Lily and passed on to her successors. This causes Imu to reveal their presence and boldly sit on the throne in front of Cobra, who shouldn’t even know of his existence. Furthermore, Imu pronounces the word “Lily”, implying that he is indeed connected to the ancient ruler of Alabasta. Fans have clearly gone crazy with theories, with some even suggesting that Imu could be Lily, but for now it’s all speculation.
Imu’s secret will be revealed soon
The mysterious Imu showed their power when they erased the country of Lulusia from the map using what is believed to be the Ancient Weapon Uranos. Readers also learn that Cobra will be killed after this conversation, possibly to preserve Imu’s secret. Apparently, Sabo witnessed everything, including Imu’s presence, which is why the World Government blamed Cobra’s death on him. Now that the Revolutionaries knew about Imu, the greatest secret in the world might soon be exposed, causing a great upheaval. The connection between Imu and Queen Lily of the Alabasta Kingdom is a shocking one, but what is causing it? A piece fans are so excited that, as the flashback continues into the next chapter, it’s possible that immu will eventually be revealed, at least in part.
