Months after teasing the project, Wit Studio has finally revealed the first concept art for the One Piece remake, which is starting to look very promising.
A special segment on Day 2 of One Piece Day '24 revealed that Wit Studio's One Piece Remake Will Be Directed by Masashi Koizuka, Director of Attack of Titanis supervised by Hideaki Abe, best known for directing Jujutsu Kaisen. The series will be written by Taku Kishimoto (Haikyuu!!) with Kyoji Asano, who also worked on Attack on Titan and Spy x Family, serving as character designer and chief animation director.
The segment also revealed many concept sketches for Luffy, Nami, Usopp, Zoro, and Sanji among many other characters, along with artboards for many important scenes in the East Blue Saga and many other memorable settings.
