It’s come a long way since the public first heard about the live-action adaptation of the One Piece manga. Back in 2017, Eiichiro Oda confirmed that he would work with Netflix on this project.
Now, there are only a few weeks left until the live-action One Piece movie will officially be released to audiences around the world. So Netflix finally revealed some details about the episode titles and a short description.
The number of episodes has been reduced from 10 to 8, with the specific content as follows:
Episode 1: Romance Dawn (Romantic Dawn)

Monkey D. Luffy is an optimistic young pirate with dreams of finding the treasure One Piece. He sets out to find a loyal crew and will cross the vast oceans together.
Luffy’s journey begins when he helps Koby out of an unwanted situation. While in Shells Town, Luffy meets Roronoa Zoro – a famous pirate hunter, and Nami – a super thief. The three formed a fragile alliance.
Episode 2: The Man in the Straw Hat

Luffy, Zoro and Nami find themselves imprisoned on an island occupied by the clown pirate Buggy. Koby joins the Marines and proves his mettle.
Episode 3: Tell No Tales

Luffy, Zoro and Nami go to Syrup Village, where they meet Usopp. A local resident introduced the group to Kaya – the rich but always sick lady. With Koby’s help, Marine Vice Admiral Garp sets out to find Luffy’s grandson.
Episode 4: The Pirates Are Coming

Luffy, Zoro and Nami fought the Black Cat Pirates. Usopp saved Kaya and enlisted the help of Koby, Helmeppo and the Marines. After being helped by the Straw Hat Pirates, Kaya gave them the Going Merry.
Episode 5: Eat at Baratie! (Eat at Baratie!)

Luffy and his teammates arrive at the floating restaurant on the Baratie Sea. There they meet Sanji, a young chef who loves fine dining. There is a duel on the harbor that shocks the group.
Episode 6: The Chef and the Chore Boy

The Straw Hats face an unforeseen threat. After a tough battle at Baratie, Sanji finally follows his dream, while one member reveals their true selves.
Episode 7: The Girl with the Sawfish Tattoo

The members of the Straw Hats help a teammate “liberate” their hometown.
Episode 8: Worst in the East (Nightmare in the East)

A new pirate crew is born.
Matt Owens, one of the writers of One Piece live-action emphasized that the whole series is built, set up into four arcs consisting of 2 episodes. Each part will introduce the members of the Straw Hat Pirates in turn. This isn’t just the story of how the Straw Hats came together, coming together. It is an encapsulation of the idea of a family grave found, focusing on “a spirit of solidarity and adventure”.
