WARNING: SPOILERS FOR EPISODE #1093
Summary
Blackbeard’s overwhelming strength and use of two devil fruits make him a terrifying and dangerous opponent. The battle in episode #1093 showcases Blackbeard’s destructive abilities with incredible animation and direction. It’s unclear how Luffy was able to overcome Blackbeard’s abilities, which suggests a potentially intense final battle between the two.
A pieceanime delivered the best fight from the Egghead Island arc but that left Luffy’s final opponent, black beard, scarier than ever. After Wano’s epic ending, Luffy, Kid, and Law made a decision to determine the direction of their next adventure. Unfortunately, Trafalgar Law’s choice led his crew straight into Blackbeardsomeone whose overwhelming power has proven worthy of becoming Luffy’s final opponent before becoming the next Pirate King.
Episode #1093 of the One Piece anime features the anticipated battle between Law and Blackbeard. While the battle is only mentioned in less than a chapter in the manga, the incredible animation and shocking direction extend to the large-scale battle. Law’s awakened devil fruit ability proved useful but, as shown in a post by X user Hatchfly_, The level of destruction Blackbeard displayed attracted attention.
The Tremor-Tremor fruit formerly belonged to Edward Newgate, aka Whitebeard, who used it with devastating effect in The War of the Summit. Are many people in the One Piece world considered the strongest paramecia devil fruit, it was used to create a tsunami and devastate Marine Corps headquarters. However, as a new user of this devil fruit, Blackbeard proved to be a dangerous enemy in episode #1093 that even Luffy had difficulty defeating.
If Luffy fights Blackbeard, the Straw Hat Captain will be in trouble
One Piece is composed by Eiichiro Oda, the anime is produced by Toei Animation
Since author Eiichiro Oda first introduced Blackbeard in chapter #223, he was said to be almost the complete opposite of Luffy. The two Worst Generation Pirates grew their reputations at similar rates, both currently holding the rank of Pirate Emperor, or Yonko. Still, episode #1093 shows the terrifying results of Blackbeard’s journey to collect the world’s most powerful Devil Fruit for him and his crew. And the results proved to be more tragic for the Heart of Law pirates than those who only watched the One Piece anime might have suspected.
Marshall D. Teach is currently the only person in One Piece to control two different devil fruits, the Shock Fruit and the Shadow Fruit. By stealing Whitebeard’s power, Teach can now control vibrations on a seismic scale to create earthquakes, whirlpools, and shock waves capable of flattening mountains. That, combined with his Shadow Fruit, a type of Logia that can neutralize devil fruit abilities, making Blackbeard an unfair opponent to fight for nearly every pirate across the seas of One Piece.
The Straw Hats may be the only ones capable of taking on Blackbeard’s crew
One Piece is currently in its final story, so it looks like Blackbeard and Luffy have to fight before the story ends. The two pirates briefly battled during the Impel Down arc, where Luffy was able to gain the upper hand against Teach. However, now that Blackbeard has control of the Tremor, it remains unclear how the Straw Hat captain can overcome the abilities that episode #1093 demonstrated. Even with Gear 5, Luffy will have a difficult time fighting Blackbeard, a battle that could come sooner than fans expect or be his final battle. A piece.
