The 15th movie in the One Piece series will premiere on Blu-ray in July along with three anime specials.

One Piece Film: Red will be released on Blu-ray Disc on July 11, 2023. The release will also include three episodes in a special feature section leading up to the events of the film. These include “Faded Memories! Luffy and Uta’s Daughter!,” “Pledge for the New Genesis! Luffy and Uta!” and “The Captain’s Legendary Diary! ‘Red-haired Shanks!’ The movie-linked chapters from One Piece Season 20 establish the character of Uta and serve as the foundation for the episodic adventure.

One Piece Film: Red is a highly influential anime franchise that has achieved numerous records thanks to its strong box office, including the position of highest-grossing Japanese film released in 2022, the highest-grossing anime film in the world. The fifth highest grossing in 2022. All-time and the largest box office grossing in One Piece franchise history, as well as of all Toei Animations. It also entered Japan’s top 10 highest-grossing films of all time, falling to number eight on the list. Overall, the project achieved a domestic box office of 19.7 billion yen and a global total of $246.5 million.

One Piece Film: Red’s Epic Ado-Sung Soundtrack

The film follows the Straw Hat Pirates, led by Luffy, as they attend a concert where popular singer Uta finally intends to reveal himself to the world. However, a fun time soon turns into an action-packed adventure when her ambition to create a new world by force comes to light. The film features many songs, including “I’m Invincible”, “Backlight” and “New Genesis” performed by Japanese music star Ado.

One Piece – written by Eiichio Oda – is one of the most influential manga/animes of all time, serving as a mainstay of Weekly Shōnen Jump for decades. The manga is still ongoing, with the latest chapter (no. 1080) exploring the power of Garp, Luffy’s grandfather. Additionally, the anime is still running at the time of writing, currently adapting the “Wano Country” part. The franchise is also expecting a Netflix live-action adaptation.

Those who do not intend to buy the Blu-ray version can purchase digital movies online. The anime’s next episode is scheduled to release on April 24, 2023. It can be streamed – along with the rest of the series – on Crunchyroll.
