Episode 1114 of the ONE PIECE anime was released on Sunday, and Monkey D. Garp arrived to explain why he was the Hero of the Marines in his prime. The episode starts with Koby cornered and seemingly dying in front of a bunch of side characters. As we wait for the main event, some of the other SWORD members are properly introduced. The first is Hibari, a commander who uses Vegapunk's Flower Bullets invention to save Koby. Fun fact: she speaks the Hiroshima dialect, which is also used by Sakazuki Akainu.
The second is Prince Grus, a rear admiral with the Glorp-Glorp fruit. His powers seem similar to Trebol's, and the fact that he's voiced by Satoshi Hino (Rengoku from Demon Slayer, Ainz from Overlord) makes him seem that much more intimidating when we see him using his golem to fight.
However, neither of them really do much here as their introductions are just a setup for the obvious main dish of the episode, Garp. The 78-year-old legendary hero is ridiculous from the start as he uses the wind generated from his swing to launch the entire ship into the sky and begin his attack. When he announces that he's there to save Koby, we get another impressive shot of his Galaxy Impact.
One would expect these incredible scenes for every major moment in ONE PIECE and Toei Animation delivered. From the music to the direction and animation, this scene captured Garp's entire character and went beyond what we could have imagined from reading the manga. The old man is there to save Koby, who he believes is the future of the Marines, and he will not forgive these pirates for kidnapping him. As one of the key figures in Blackbeard's crew watches, he unleashes the first named attack in the series so far, Galaxy Impact.
Hazuki Omoya is in charge of storyboarding and directing ONE PIECE episode 1114, with Katsumi Ishizuka credited for assisting with storyboarding. Kazuya Kuda and Honehone are the animation directors, while the episode also has Dino Santos as art director and Ryoya Kaneko as production director.
The storyboard for Galaxy Impact was handled by Ishizuka, who shared an illustration of Garp after the episode. The message also said that Honehone handled animation direction for the scene.

Honehone commented that, despite being the animation director for the film, the original illustrations were so beautiful that he barely had to do anything. The animator also said that he did four key animation cuts and that he hopes his work matches Ishizuka's style.トだけやってました! Can you do that?の絵柄に寄せられてたら嬉しいです

Several other animators left comments about X after the episode. One of them was @anikari01, one of the animators who did the 'do you know who you kidnapped' scene.

Production director Ryoya Kaneko also left a message.
This scene feels like the climax of the episode and like I was ready to see the “TO BE CONTINUED” announcement, the fact that it’s only halfway through makes it pretty hard for the rest of the episode to fit in. As the other characters react to the aftermath of Garp’s damage, we’re reminded that they still went to Yonko’s island. Kuzan prevents a happily ever after and we get a quick recap of what happened to him and see the moment he meets Blackbeard.
It's annoying to see Koby still being childish and asking Kuzan to relieve Hibari, but it's clear that Garp will be the one to fight him, when the other big names haven't shown up yet.
