Lucci and Kaku continued to try to convince Luffy and Zoro to let them help, even though Lucci made no attempt to hide his plan to kill Vegapunk, and Luffy eventually agreed because he knew they could defeat them. again if they try to cause trouble. On that note, Lucci and Kaku were freed and The teams of Luffy and Lucci and Zoro and Kaku sent S-Bear and S-Hawk flying.

One Piece teases a major change in its story
Starting from the second half of One Piece episode #1109, it seems like there's going to be a big shift in focus. The war against the Seraphim has just begun but with the sudden appearance of the Red Hair Pirates, A piece might leave Egghead Island for a while to show what's happening elsewhere in the world. That would hardly be the first time One Piece has done something like this, and with One Piece being in its final story, this is the perfect opportunity to put Shanks in the spotlight.
That idea also makes sense when taking into account previous episodes. Previous episodes have focused on Law and Blackbeard fighting and Garp going to Pirate Island to save Koby, none of which involved Luffy, so based on that, A piece episode #1110 will likely see the story begin to focus on all the other ongoing plot threads, even if they are not directly related to Luffy's situation. The opening theme especially gives credence to that idea with all that it represents, and overall, it's great to see it all play out.
One Piece Episode #1109 Is Worth The Wait
The sudden delay of One Piece #1109 may have given the staff adequate time to process it and the episode was delivered more. Original scenes of S-Hawk's battle with Zoro has incredible animation and choreography, is easily among One Piece's best, and is tied in with making Zoro reminisce about Mr. 1 perfectly expressed how important a war was to him. The visuals and animation of Luffy and Zoro's team-up with Lucci and Kaku are also fantastic, and it continues the excellent precedent One Piece has set over the past few years.
Everything in the second half of the episode was also great to watch, even if it was noticeably more low key. The lighting and direction used for the Red Haired Pirates' scenes did a great job of bringing them to life after years of inactivity, and it also did wonders to make what little was shown of them work. Elbaf became awesome and became a real part of the One Piece world. . Everything about A piece Episode #1109 is commendable, and episode #1110 onwards will hopefully be the same.
Be sure to watch A piece episode #1110 when it releases on Saturday, June 29.
