As the story finally begins, Eiichiro Oda, the author of the series, has also decided to reveal many of the mysteries that he has introduced in the story since One Piece began. The mangaka has finally started explaining almost all the secrets that he has hidden from the fans to make the story interesting.
Of course, Oda doesn't answer every question fans have. One Piece has been asking for nearly 30 years. One of these questions concerns CP0 agents, and the mangaka has chosen to keep the mystery surrounding this intelligence agency by not answering the question.
Fan questions regarding the existence of CP0 and whether people in the world One Piece know about them or not. This is actually an important question, as it will explain the importance of CP0 as an agency that operates directly under the World Government.
One Piece SBS episode 109 was recently released, and Oda answered some interesting questions, this time regarding the devil fruit abilities of Bonney and Warlord – who was defeated by Ace. The connection between Alpha and Kalifa was also answered.
Oda revealed: “Alpha is Kalifa's younger sister. Among the CP9 members from 22 years ago, we saw Laskey. He is the father of these two. Basically, Cipher Pol raises unrelated children to become excellent intelligence agents, so their case is a rare one. In fact, they were raised separately, apart from each other, with almost no family ties. Because 'emotions' can become a weakness in this world.”
While the mangaka explains the relationship between CP8 Agent Alpha and CP0 Agent Kalifa, the author deliberately chooses to skip the second part of the question “Is CP0 public in the One Piece world?”
However, according to the story, CP0 agents may be known to the public because they have been seen walking around without trying to hide themselves.
When SBS Volume 109 hit the internet, One Piece fans were able to point out Eiichiro Oda's choice to leave out the most important part of the question. The identity of the CP0 agents is a big mystery in One Piece, one that fans have been trying to figure out since the Dressrosa arc. However, not getting an answer from the mangaka is definitely frustrating for fans.
Fans took to X to express their frustration and disappointment that the manga author is still keeping the intelligence agency a secret. While some fans expressed their frustration with the One Piece author, others are still trying to find answers.
Although the main characters from CP0 have been defeated in Wano and Egghead Island, there are still some other agents in One Piece that the fandom is not aware of. Perhaps that is why Oda decided to keep their identities a secret by not answering questions, so it is believed that they will be a part of the future plot.
