Brutal, bloody and rarely, if ever, forgiving, the Berserk manga and anime's story is filled with harsh and traumatic content. Much of this stems from the equally terrifying villains, though one mighty foe stands above them all and has now been perfectly recreated.

A Berserk Fan Created The Ultimate Griffith Cosplay
Reddit user “Behelit666_” recently uploaded his cosplay of the villain Griffith from Berserk, and to call this look accurate would be an understatement. Seen from the chest up in a white blouse, the villain’s soft yet striking features are exactly like his manga counterpart. Including his icy blue eyes, curly white hair, and matching eyebrows, he exudes a cold yet almost angelic beauty. Those who have never seen or read Berserk often assume Griffith is a woman, and this almost unfathomable sense of beauty is definitely evident in this cosplay. Also included, as the name suggests, is a red pendant/necklace that represents the Behelit necklace Griffith is known for wearing.
Behelit666_ has also cosplayed other iconic characters, including the disguised Cloud Strife from an infamous scene in Final Fantasy VII, as well as Reno from the same game. Griffith is considered one of the darkest and most terrifying villains in all of anime and manga, with his appearance belying his incredible swordsmanship and cruel heart. Betraying the series' protagonist Guts the Black Swordsman, Griffith even becomes an unscrupulous demon in his quest for power throughout the Berserk story. This incident and the character's betrayal of both Guts and his other allies are among the many dark elements in Berserk, but Griffith's design and Behelit666_'s cosplay of the character almost make them unbelievable. Hopefully, however, the cosplay doesn't involve half as much betrayal and sacrifice as the series does.

Summary
Berserk (Japanese: ベルセルク, Hepburn: Beruseruku) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura. Set in a dark fantasy world inspired by medieval Europe, the story revolves around the characters Guts, a lone swordsman, and Griffith, the leader of a mercenary group called the “Band of the Hawk”. The series follows Guts' journey to seek revenge on Griffith, who betrayed him and sacrificed his comrades to become a powerful demonic creature.
