The world of One Piece has a mystical fruit commonly known as a devil fruit, which gives the user unique abilities, but will take away their ability to swim. Devil fruits form the main power system in the One Piece world. Over the years, fans have seen a lot of devil fruits in the story. While many powers have been introduced to fans, only a few devil fruits have had their designs revealed.
However, over time, Oda is making efforts to reveal each of the most important devil fruit designs to fans such as Katakuri’s Mochi Mochi no Mi, Nico Robin’s Hana Hana no Mi, Brook’s Yomi Yomi no Mi, Mero Boa Hancock’s Mero no Mi… Recently, two more devil fruit designs were revealed in the latest volume of One Piece Magazine, volume 17.
Design of the Goro Goro no Mi devil fruit
The first devil fruit revealed by Oda in volume 17 of One Piece Magazine was the Goro Goro no Mi that was eaten by Enel. This fruit is yellow, similar to how Oda colored lightning in One Piece. The fruit is round in shape, with many sharp spikes surrounding it like electric sparks, with circular swirls on the fruit body. It is quite easy to see that this devil fruit is related to electricity and will grant this type of power. This design is considered extremely beautiful,
One Piece magazine also goes into detail about this devil fruit’s abilities. As is known, this devil fruit is of the Logia type, allowing the user to transform and control electricity. The voltage of electricity generated when using this devil fruit depends entirely on the user. The user can generate attack currents of 200 million volts or less.
The power of the Goro Goro no Mi is immense and only a few devil fruits can compare to it. So much so that it is said to be one of the few invincible devil fruits in the One Piece world. The power that Goro Goro no Mi grants the user does not have many weaknesses and is powerful enough to destroy islands with ease.
Design of the Horo Horo no Mi devil fruit
Volume 17 of One Piece Magazine also revealed the design of the Horo Horo no Mi devil fruit eaten by Perona, who was formerly a member of the Thriller Bark pirates.
Horo Horo no Mi has quite an interesting shape. This fruit divides into 5 branches from the same root, like a flower. The shape of each branch resembles the ghosts that Perona is capable of creating. Each branch has two eyes, which alludes to the fact that this devil fruit has powers related to the manipulation of ghosts. The top of the branches has a spiral shape, proving that this is a devil fruit.
When it comes to the power of the Horo Horo no Mi, this is a Paramecia-type devil fruit, allowing the user to create ghosts, and control them.
The clones can have many different forms and all are capable of avoiding all physical attacks, because the ghost’s characteristic body structure is “hollow”. The most basic property of the Horo Horo no Mi is its ability to turn people’s thoughts into negative ones. Even Haki cannot prevent the effects of this devil fruit’s ability.
