Nintendo announced on Thursday that it will release the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team Game Boy Advance game to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in the West on August 9.
The company describes the story:
Suddenly, you find yourself in a new world, a world where you are now a Pokémon and can talk and interact with other Pokémon. The adventure begins as you and your Pokémon partner embark on a rescue mission in a world devastated by natural disasters. But what is your true purpose and destiny in this Pokémon world? That is the real mystery!
The original roguelike role-playing games Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team for the GBA and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team for the Nintendo DS were released in Japan in November 2005 and in North America in September 2006. The Nintendo 3DS game Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon (Pokémon Chō Fushigi no Dungeon), the latest installment in Spike Chunsoft's Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series, was released in Japan in September 2015 and in North America in November 2015.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, a remake of the original game on Nintendo Switch, released in March 2020.
