What happened in Nier: Automata Ver1.1a Episode 15?
Produced by A-1 Pictures; Directed by Yoshiyuki Kumeda
Nier: Automata Ver1.1a episode #15, “no [I] in the group,” opens with YoRHa's final assault on the machine lifeforms from 2B's perspective, with her group also inevitably falling victim to the Logic Virus. Fortunately, 9S appeared in time to save 2B and stop the Logic Virus from taking over her.But a wave of corrupted YoRHa soldiers and mechanical lifeforms soon arrived and overwhelmed them. Left with no other choice, 2B and 9S ignited their black boxes to blow themselves up and returned to the Bunker in new bodies to try to find direct help.
After returning to the Bunker, 2B and 9S went to inform the commander of what was happening, and although she was initially clueless, it was because the central AI of the machine lifeforms had hacked the Bunker and fed her false recordings of what was happening on Earth. The Operators, now corrupted by the Logic Virus, then attacked 2B, 9S, and the commander, and while they escaped the first wave, not only did the machine lifeforms trigger the Bunker's self-destruct sequence, but The commander is forced to kill Operator 6O, Operator 2B, after she falls victim to the Logic Virus..
As the group advanced towards the flying units, The commander reveals that she has been infected with the Logic Virus and is staying in the Bunker.partly because she couldn't attack them after the Logic Virus completely took over her, and partly because she felt it was her duty to stay on the Bunker in its final moments. 2B and 9S reluctantly left the commander behind as the Bunker exploded and they became all that remained of YoRHa, and the episode ended with A2 watching them descend to the planet.
