Highspeed Étoile has released a new promotional video for its upcoming futuristic racing anime, scheduled to premiere in April 2024.
The promotional video, released through the anime’s official website Highspeed Étoile, revealed a 2024 premiere date and the project’s new cast. Yukari Tamura voices the interactive artificial intelligence (AI) program Ami, while Tōru Furuya narrates the anime. Highspeed Étoile also shared a new image.
Fūka Izumi voices Highspeed Étoile’s main character, Rin Rindo, and the story revolves around the character, who saw his dream of becoming a ballet dancer end due to an injury. Currently an unemployed gamer living with her grandmother, Rin is suddenly drawn into the world of speed racing. She lives in a futuristic world where vehicles safely travel at breakneck speeds of 310 mph and NEX, a new next-generation racing event, makes its debut. Rookie Rin, set to make her debut, must compete with NEX’s racing features, including AI control support and Revolburst mechanics, as she hopes to leave her mark on the sport.
The cast of Highspeed Étoile also features many famous voice actors in the industry, including Yōko Hikasa as Kanata Asakawa, Shiori Izawa as Towa Komachi, Yui Horie as Sofia Bryant Tokitou, Ayaka Suwa as Youran Liu, Nana Mizuki as Alice Summerwood, Kenichirō Matsuda as Richard Parker and Kousuke Toriumi as Lorenzo M. Salvatore. Additionally, Yurie Funato and Shū Uchida will voice Prima Stella’s Hikari Hinata and Prima Stella’s Akari Kuzuryū, respectively. Manga artist and character designer Takuya Fujima (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid, Weiß Survive, Warlords of Sigrdrifa, R-15) is the character designer for the anime series.
Former Japanese racing series Super Formula is collaborating on Highspeed Étoile and the anime series’ official website features the logos of King Amusement Creative Sonic Blade, Yostar and Good Smile Company. Chiaki Misono is drawing the manga Highspeed Étoile: L’Entrée de Towa et Kanata, an adaptation of the upcoming original anime series. The artist will collaborate with Suzuka Circuit on this project, which will be serialized on the Manga Cross Website. There has been no announcement yet regarding the release date of the Highspeed Étoile: L’Entrée de Towa et Kanata manga.
Highspeed Étoile will launch in April 2024.
