Netflix previously announced that it had licensed the series for international streaming and would be streaming it weekly. In Japan, the company will debut the anime with a two-episode premiere, but it's unclear whether that will apply everywhere.
Yuichiro Yano (Lupin the 3rd Part 5) will direct the anime, with Yuko Kakihara (The Apothecary Diaries) serving as series writer and Miho Tanino (Blue Thermal) serving as character designer. Telecom Animation Film is handling animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime's voice cast includes:
• Shoya Chiba as Taiki Inomata • Reina Ueda as Chinatsu Kano • Akari Kito as Hina Chono • Chiaki Kobayashi as Kyo Kasahara • Yuma Uchida as Kengo Haryu
The anime is based on the manga by Kouji Miura, which began serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump on April 12, 2021. A total of 16 tankōbon volumes have been published as of August 2024, with the 17th volume due to ship on October 4, 2024. The manga originally debuted as a one-shot title in 2020.
