Deadline has confirmed that the upcoming second season of Netflix's live-action series One Piece will be released sometime in 2025, with filming and production expected to begin in June 2024.
Joe Tracz (Percy Jackson) and co-executive producer Olympians) have also been confirmed to join the second season as a writer, executive producer and co-showrunner with Matt Owens (Agents of SHIELD and Luke Screenwriter Cage). Steve Maeda, who developed the series with Owens and served as co-showrunner on the first season, will remain as executive producer.

The One Piece live-action series is a co-production between Netflix and Tomorrow Studios (live action Cowboy Bebop, Snowpiercer). Season one includes a total of eight episodes and premiered on Netflix on August 31, 2023.

Eiichiro Oda's original One Piece manga was first serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on July 22, 1997 under the Jump Comics label. A total of 108 tankobon volumes have been released as of March 2024.
The manga inspired a 1999 OVA by Production IG and an anime television series by Toei Animation that has aired since 1999. The latter passed the 1000 episode mark on November 21, 2021.
