Takashi Tsume can see spirits and demons that hide from the rest of humanity. He was always isolated from others because of his gift, drifting from one relative to another, never quite fitting in. Now he's a troubled high school student who comes to live in the small town where his grandmother grew up. And there, he discovers that he inherited more than just the Vision from the mysterious Reiko.
Yuki Midorikawa is also known for other manga works including Into the Forest of Fireflies (Hotarubi no Mori e), The Scarlet Chair (Hiiro no Isu), and The Voice That Blooms Red (Akaku Saku Koe).
To date, the anime adaptation has had six television anime seasons, with the final season airing in 2017. The anime series is directed by Takahiro Omori (seasons 1–4) and Kotomi Deai (seasons 5–6). Studios Brain's Base (seasons 1–4) and Shuka (seasons 5–6) animated the series. Crunchyroll is streaming the entire anime. There are also 2 movies and several OVAs.
