Boruto: Naruto Next Generations ended on March 26, 2023. Now, the second part of Boruto Uzumaki's journey to becoming a ninja will continue in the upcoming official English release of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Episode 1.
English publisher Viz Media has announced that it will release the first volume of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex in spring 2025. The new manga – which serves as a sequel to the original Boruto manga – is written by the author Original Naruto Masashi Kishimoto with artwork by Mikio Ikemoto. Ikemoto, who was previously Kishimoto's main assistant on the original Naruto manga, illustrated Ukyo Kodachi's previous Boruto manga. Two Blue Vortex is currently live, with digital chapter releases provided by Viz Media and the Manga Plus app.

The series description from Manga Plus reads: “With everyone's memories altered, Boruto finds himself hunted by his own village. After escaping with Sasuke, what future awaits Boruto…?” As witnessed in Chapter 10, Two Blue Vortex is not afraid to shake up the status quo with shocking developments involving the original characters and their descendants.
The original Naruto anime is expected to air again next year
News of an official English release for Volume 1 of Two Blue Vortex comes after confirmation that the original Naruto anime series will return to air in 2024. Originally made to celebrate the 20th anniversary anime, the four-episode revival of Naruto was confirmed by a financial report from TV Tokyo. Studio Pierrot, the animation company behind Naruto, Boruto and more, has previously delayed particularly nostalgic films due to quality concerns, and there have been no major updates since then. Currently, Pierrot itself has not yet released a statement confirming the airing of Naruto special episodes in 2024-25.
