The October issue of Akita Shoten’s Monthly Shōnen Champion magazine announced on Wednesday that Nabe Fuyuno’s manga adaptation of Ameko Kaeruda’s Harapeko Seijo to Manpuku Majo no Isekai Slow Life (The Story of the Comfortable Fantasy Life of a gluttonous saint and a full-bodied witch) will end in the magazine’s next issue on October 5.
Fuyuno launched the manga in Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine in November 2021. Kaeruda is credited as the author of the original story, and artist KeG is credited as the original character designer. Akita Shoten published the manga’s first compilation volume in May 2022 and the third volume on June 8.
The original story revolves around the ever-starving Emilia, a future saint who was banished from her convent. She is helped by a wandering witch named Abigail, who discovers that the source of Emilia’s hunger is her great magical power, which is due to her being the reincarnation of a goddess. Nourished on Abigail’s home-cooked meals, the power Emilia has can even create miracles.
Kaeruda began serializing the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in June 2020 and is still continuing. Kadokawa published the first print edition of the story in August 2021, with art by KeG.
J-Novel Club is publishing Kaeruda’s Sexiled: My Sexist Party Leader Kicked Me Out, So I Teamed Up With a Mythical Witch! light novel, as well as the novel A Lily Blooms in Another World.
