A Movie for My Next Life as a Villain: All Roads Lead to Doom! was announced as early as September 2021 after the second season ended, but since then, not much has been revealed, except for a teaser image accompanying the announcement. The official account for My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! aka HameFura for short has revealed a new trailer and key visual for the film. The film will feature an origin story written by light novel author Satoru Yamaguchi with Maaya Uchida reprising her role of Catarina Claes. Silver Link will produce the film with Keisuke Inoue directing.
My Next Life as a Villainess’ Multiple adaptations
A light novel series written by Satoru Yamaguchi and illustrated by Nami Hidaka, My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! began serialization online in July 2014 before Ichijinsha acquired the series, leading to its first print publication in August 2015. J-Novel Club licensed the light novels in English and is now available. there are 11 episodes. The light novel series received a manga adaptation with Hidaka as an artist in August 2017 and has since been licensed in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.
The series inspired an anime adaptation, and the first season aired from April to June 2020, with Silver Link directing the animation and producing. The second season aired from July to September 2021, titled My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! X with 12 episodes and an OVA. In addition to Uchida, Shouta Aoi also voices Catarina’s fiancé Geordo Stuart and Tetsuya Kakihara as Catarina’s adopted brother Keith Claes, Miho Okasaki as Mary Hunt and Inori Minase as Sophia Ascart, both is Catherine’s rival.
My Next Life as a Villain: All Roads Lead to Doom! covers a variety of genres, including isekai, fantasy, reverse harem, and romantic comedy. The series follows a 17-year-old otaku high school student who reincarnates as the villain Catarina Claes from the otome game Fortune Lover. Unfortunately for Catarina, she was in trouble from the start because no matter which path the player in the game took, she would either die or be exiled. Despite how hopeless her situation seems, Catarina is determined to evade her seemingly doomed fate. She begins to establish good relationships with the other characters, thus causing the other characters to fall in love with her without her even knowing it.
My Next Life as a Villain: All Roads Lead to Doom! The film opens in Japan on December 8, 2023.
