Even though the My Little Pony franchise is a Western one, that hasn't stopped it from being popular internationally. Now, a new statue features one of the series' most iconic ponies, reimagined as an anime-style human girl.
One of many statues from Sideshow and Kotobukiya, the upcoming Bishojo Fluttershy statue brings a much more human look to the shy character from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Perfect for transforming her into her moe human form, the statue is perfect for anime fans, pink-haired characters, or MLP enthusiasts. Now available for pre-order, this is the perfect way to show off the charming face of kindness.
New My Little Pony Bishojo Statue Turns Fluttershy Into a Moe Girl
Part of Kotobukiya’s “Bishojou” statue line, the new Fluttershy statue doesn’t cut corners when it comes to colorful details. The statue depicts the character as a human girl, with her pony form also seen below. The human form has the same pink hair as Fluttershy’s pony form, with the rest of her design reflecting the adorable pony in other ways. The pink ribbon-like feature around Fluttershy’s shoulders evokes her yellow pony fur and wings, with this detail also seen on the hem of her skirt. Likewise, the pink butterflies at the bottom of her skirt represent her Cute Mark, seen on the side of the pony, with Fluttershy having a blue butterfly placed in her hair and butterfly-style shoes. Even her bright blue eyes resemble those of a horse, making her human form a true translation of the beloved character.
Seemingly inspired by the “Generation 1” pony named Posey Bloom, Fluttershy is one of the main characters appearing in the 2010s cartoon My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. It is the most popular modern version of the franchise and aired from 2010 to 2019. The hugely successful show also inspired an unexpected fan base in the form of adult male “bronies.” Along with Fluttershy herself, other Friendship Is Magic characters who have received the Kotobukiya Bishojou treatment include Twilight Sparkle, Princess Celestia, and Pinkie Pie. Made of ABS and PVC and standing 8.66″ tall, the Bishojou Fluttershy figure is currently available for pre-order for $120 USD, though it won’t ship until between April and June 2025. Kotobukiya’s Bishojou line has brought similar anime transformations to a variety of other brands, from recognizable anime and video game franchises to horror movies and outright “uncute” characters like the robots in the Transformers series.
