My Hero Academia: You're Next is arguably the most successful film in the franchise. According to box office aggregator @moviewalker_bce, the film has grossed nearly $22 million domestically, nearly matching the $29.9 million box office total of Heroes Rising, which recently got a Netflix release date later this month. You're Next continues to stir excitement overseas, recently revealing a new movie poster and voice cast. Christopher Sabat, who voices All Might, returns to voice Dark Might. Meanwhile, Mauricio Ortiz-Segura and Kayli Mills join the cast as Giulio Gandini and Anna Scervino. The poster by Bones Inc. animator Yoshihiko Umakoshi can be seen below.
My Hero Academia: You're Next takes place during Shigaraki's retreat from an all-out war between heroes and villains. As Japan is ravaged by war, a mysterious man appears, calling himself the new Symbol of Peace. He unleashes his Quirk for his own desires, creating a massive fortress that begins to absorb the population one by one. Among the group accompanying Dark Might is Anna, a young woman with an unknown Quirk who is targeted by a stoic individual wearing a butler outfit. The press release adds, “Although this person, Giulio, calls her 'Miss Anna,' he seems intent on killing her. What is their connection to Dark Might? Will Deku, Bakugo, Todoroki, and the rest of UA High Class 1-A be able to protect the world by putting an end to Dark Might, the new Symbol, and his desires?” They face Dark Might and the mysterious criminal organization under his control, the Gollini Family. 'Next, it's our turn!'”
