Popular anime voice actress Reina Ueda will take the next step in her burgeoning artistic career when she opens “Reina Ueda Original Art Exhibition: Atelier Reina ligne” in November.
Through a press release provided to Crunchyroll, fans can purchase tickets to Ueda’s first original art exhibition later this month. The event is scheduled to be held at Gallery & Craft Mori in Tokyo from November 15 to November 26, 2023. Ueda has released key visuals for the event as well as a new artwork, titled “ligne,” the theme for fans will be able to understand better on October 28, 4:30 PDT, when Reina introduces Atelier Reina. Atelier Reina is a monthly collaboration program that Ueda does with the YouTube channel of Seiyuu Grandprix magazine. Here, Ueda will also explain his thinking behind the artwork.
The description for the Atelier Reina YouTube series reads: “An Atelier-style show where MC Reina Ueda learns, draws, and shares art with viewers! Ms. Ueda, who loves to draw, will draw a wonderful picture based on the suggestions taken from In addition, this is a program where you can fully enjoy Ms. Ueda, who is different from usual, such as challenging what Ms. Ueda wants to try now.”
Fans will receive special passes and different audio guides depending on whether they attend the first phase of the exhibition (November 15-20) or the second phase (November 21-26). .
Ueda may be best known to fans for his voice work, having recently voiced Miyo Saimori in My Happy Mar, Melfina in Black Summoner, Reze in Chainsaw Man, and Lemon Irvine in Mashle. In particular, My Happy Marriage has received much praise from audiences for its ability to explore trauma as well as its balance between conventional shojo elements and exciting action sequences. Ueda has also released two music albums. Through the Oricon music popularity chart, Ueda’s Empathy was released in 2020 and peaked at number 12, while Nebula was released in 2021 and peaked at number 14.
Ueda will take on important voice roles in 2024, when she will play Yuno the Distant Talon in the fantasy anime Ishura and Cha Hae-in in the highly anticipated Solo Leveling anime. Cha represents the only female S-Rank Hunter in all of Korea in Solo Leveling. The film is scheduled to open in January 2024.
