Egoist was a fictional Japanese pop duo formed by Supercell’s Ryo, who was asked to compose the theme song for the 2011 anime series Guilty Crown. Needing a vocalist, Supercell organized auditioning for the band’s next album Zigaexperientia, and Ryo is still looking for vocalists for Egoist. After nearly 2000 auditions, Chelly was chosen to perform.
The duo went on to write several other songs for popular anime, including Psycho-Pass, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, and Fate/Apocrypha.
