On Thursday, Crunchyroll announced the addition of “Kaina of the Great Snow Sea: Star Sage,” a sequel to the anime television series Kaina of the Great Snow Sea.
Created by Tsutomu Nihei and Polygon Pictures, known for works such as BLAME! and Knights of Sidonia, the series is currently available on Crunchyroll for users in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, Middle East and CIS.

The film premiered in Japan on October 13 and debuted in the United States at Anime Expo on July 2. Natsuki Hanae takes on the role of Byōzan, a new character with a mission to destroy the Orbital Spire Trees.
The television anime originally aired on Fuji TV’s Ultra+ channel in Japan in January 2023 and is streamed globally by Crunchyroll except Asia.
Set in a world where the Great Snow Sea is devouring the land, the story follows Kaina, a boy who lives above Canopy, and Liliha, princess of Atland, a small country in the Great Snow Sea.

The anime series, directed by Hiroaki Ando, explores the theme of “high fantasy between a boy and a girl” and its production to commemorate Polygon Pictures’ 40th anniversary.
