Light Novel Mob Kara Hajimaru Tansaku Eiyutan is being adapted into an anime, according to the announcement of the official X (Twitter) account of publisher HJ Bunko. A commemorative image was also released following the announcement.
Kaito wrote the light novel Mob kara Hajimaru Tansaku Eiyutan with illustrations by Almic. It was first published in Shosetsuka ni Naro in April 2019 before Hobby Japan won the title. As of this writing, the light novel currently has seven volumes. A manga adaptation with illustrations by Terio Teri has been serialized in Akita Shoten’s Dokodemo Young Champion since August 2021.
The novel (English title may be The Story of an Explorer Hero Who Risen from Ordinary People) tells the story of Kaito Takagi, an ordinary student of modest stature, who sets out on his own. Live a normal life as an adventurer in the wasteland. Dungeons have appeared all over Japan. His daily pursuits involve slime extermination, a means to earn some pocket money, while secretly admiring his childhood friend, the class’s esteemed queen.
However, his mundane routine takes an unexpected turn when a never-before-seen golden slime appears before him. After defeating this unique enemy, Kaito stumbles upon an extremely rare item of immense value – a servant card capable of summoning mythical creatures. When he decides to summon a mythical creature with a card, a female warrior of unparalleled beauty appears, changing the course of Kaito’s existence.
