Shoujo manga Yona Of The Dawn by Mizuho Kusanagi will be adapted into a musical. An official website and Twitter account, launched as part of the adaptation, released the visual on March 19, 2024 to commemorate the announcement.
The musical adaptation will adapt “Four Dragons” from the first volume of the manga and will be performed at Theater H in Tokyo from July 2024.
Tsuneyasu Motoyoshi will direct, with Aoto Tani in charge of the script. Masato Kamata will be in charge of composing music, while Shinji Rachi will be in charge of choreography.
More details, including information about the cast, will be revealed at a later date.
Yona Of The Dawn is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Mizuho Kusanagi. It has been serialized in Hakusensha’s shojo manga magazine Hana to Yume since August 2009, with the chapters collected into 43 tankōbon volumes as of February 2024.
A 24-episode anime television series produced by Pierrot aired. during the period from October 2014 to March 2015.

Once upon a time, the kingdom of Kouka was ruled by a red dragon in human form. At his side, four warriors with dragon blood helped him lead the kingdom to prosperity. As time passed, this story became a legend to tell to children.
As the only princess of Kouka, Yona lives a life of comfortable luxury. In love with her cousin Su-won and protected by her bodyguard, Son Hak, she wants for nothing and remains sheltered from the painful reality outside the castle walls. Contrary to this illusion of peace, Kouka is about to experience a political upheaval. After her beloved Su-won stages a bloody coup and kills her father, Yona is forced to flee with only Hak by her side.
Although surrounded by enemies on all sides, the banished princess still yearns to save her Kingdom. Her solution comes from an exiled priest, who tells her that her only hope is to find four legendary dragon warriors. Guided by this seemingly fictional legend, Yona sets out to find these warriors, determined to restore her kingdom.
