Summary
Minato’s achievements as the Fourth Hokage surpassed Naruto’s, as he was terrified in battle and made strategic sacrifices to protect his village and family. Minato’s decision to seal the Nine-Tails within Naruto and himself led to his death and saved Konoha, highlighting his difficult choices and quick thinking. Naruto, as Hokage, failed to make the same difficult choices that Minato did, leading to more pain and proving that his father left behind a difficult legacy to follow.
Naruto has had some incredible achievements throughout the series, but unfortunately, he still cannot surpass the greatest achievements of his father, Minato the Fourth Hokage. While Naruto helped win the Fourth Shinobi World War, stopping Pain’s attack and saving the ninja world on many occasions, Minato accomplished something much more impressive.
Minato is the Fourth Hokage of Konohagakure and the youngest Hokage in the village’s history. He made a name for himself during the 3rd Ninja War and was feared enough to be ordered to retreat if enemies encountered him.
He is used to doing the impossible but what he did before he died can only be considered a miracle when looked at the broader scope of the Naruto franchise.
Minato made a sacrifice that Naruto could never make
In episode 248 of Naruto Shippuden, fans finally learned the story of Naruto’s parents and why he had the Nine-Tails sealed inside him. This episode may be the reason Minato became the most popular character in Naruto. Kushina was a few days away from giving birth to Naruto, but this meant that the seal trapping the Nine-Tails inside her would weaken. Her birth was kept a secret, but an unknown masked man attacked the place where Kushina gave birth and released the Nine-Tails.
The resulting fight saw Minato overcome the Masked Man and nearly kill him with a well-placed Rasengan. Despite dealing with the mastermind, the Nine-Tails still rampaged across Konoha and claimed many lives. To protect his wife, unborn son, and village, Minato made the difficult decision to seal half of the Nine-Tails fox into his son’s body and the other half into himself. This resulted in his and his wife’s deaths but saved Konoha and Naruto.
Naruto cannot live up to his father’s legacy in Boruto
While Naruto’s actions throughout the series are undeniably great, nothing he has done can compare to the level of strategic planning and sacrifice that Minato has shown in his actions. his final actions as Hokage. This was accidentally proven during Naruto’s time as Hokage in Boruto. When Naruto’s adopted son Kawaki became a threat to Boruto in particular and the Hidden Leaf Village in general, Naruto failed to make the difficult choices that could have prevented much of the pain that led to Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
Although the jury is still out on Naruto’s time as Hokage, his father left behind a difficult legacy for one to follow. Minato made a difficult choice that proved why he was so suitable for the Hokage. Not only did he sacrifice himself and his wife, but he also turned his son into a social outcast. Minato’s quick thinking and willingness to sacrifice demonstrate why he would be a better Hokage. Naruto.
